Our Mission

We believe that we have been blessed to live a comfortable life, with financial resources allowing us to escape some of the problems faced by many.
With our good fortune comes an obligation to give back to our endangered planet and the millions of people in our own backyard who do not share our opportunities. The mission of the Stockel Family Foundation reflects the concerns of our family for social and economic justice, the needs of children, a healthy environment and creative expression.

To further our goals, we provide grants to non-profits worldwide that are pursuing unique approaches to climate change and those mainly in the Greater Los Angeles and Atlanta regions that focus on:

FOSTERING A HEALTHY PLANET
We believe a world that respects life in all its forms and protects all creatures living on earth now and in the future.

HELPING LOW-INCOME FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN AGES 0-5
Targeting problems as early as possible has a major impact on developmental success.

REDUCING GENDER INEQUALITY
We believe we will never truly prosper until both sexes have attained equality of opportunity.

EMPOWERING AT RISK PEOPLE TO REBUILD THEIR LIVES
We support non-profit organizations that provide the resources and skills individuals and families need to ensure survival, end victimization and improve quality of life. We believe all residents deserve to be fed, housed and clothed, that all our children have a right to access to quality education, and that all who seek it are entitled to meaningful employment at a living wage.

SUPPORTING THE ARTS
The Arts enhance humanity, enrich our lives and live on through the ages. Our emphasis on performing arts and talent development will diversify and give additional meaning to our work.
